Cupid Intelligence Institute
The Cupid Intelligence Institute, or C.I.I., was the organisation internal to the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids which was made up of all its specialised Departments. It was overseen by the Supreme Quaestor from the C.I.I. Headquarters building. (PROSE: The Winter Quests)
List of Departments
The Crew's Cupid Intelligence Institute included a number of Departments with specific purposes, each of which was led by a Prefect. The Prefects, alongside a few other “Cupids of Importance” such as the head operatives of the Scarlet Wings and Blue Feather, made up the Cupid Parliament. New Departments were typically opened on the authority of the Copper-Colored Council of Elders to shunt away debates which were going in circles in the Parlimanet; as a result many were largely useless in practice, existing only to ensure that the Parliamentary Cupids would stop arguing about their topics rather than because a Department was actually expected to yield real answers. The Supreme Quaestor, however, seemed to genuinely believe the Intelligence Institute's destiny was to produce true, absolute knowledge. He had the authority to disband Departments if he deemed them to be disappointing or even counter-productive. (PROSE: Magic Trick)

History
“Top researchers” at the Institute attempted to figure out how Octasers' fearsome “eye-beams” functioned, coming up with a theory that it was not a natural ability but actually stemmed from special, weaponized contact lenses. However, this theory could not be tested due to no Cupids managing to get close enough to an Octaser to check. (PROSE: The Euclidean Plane)
In 1978, a Mind Probe was used by the Cupid Intelligence Institute to try and determine why the batch of abductees believed gorillas to be green.
In 1986, the C.I.I. observed Christmas celebrations through the Celestial Telescopes and dispatched a team of Cupids to the Vanityville Supermarket in the hope that the locals, already being in a cheerful Christmas mood, would be more easily romanticised. This led to the Skirmish at the Vanityville Supermarket when they clashed with Green Gorillas who had taken it over. (PROSE: The Green Gorillas)
Following the 1986 discovery of the Society of the Rhyming Dove by the Crew, members of the Institute speculated about how theDoves achieved their constant rhyming, with some speculating that it was a magical effect maintained by some unknown Atlantean artefact. (PROSE: The Society of the Rhyming Dove)
Investigation-464 was the Institute's head researcher regarding the Szaclowk. (PROSE: New Warehouse To Be Constructed In The Homeworld)
At some point prior to 2019, the Supreme Quaestor disbanded the Institute's Department of Philosophy for heretically questioning whether there was such a thing as absolute knowledge in the first place. This led to Department-member Valerius-1497's transfer to the Department of Problem-Solving. (PROSE: Magic Trick)
