Department of Journalism
The Department of Journalism was the department of the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids. Its “principal project” was the creation of The Cupid Courier, the Crew's internal newspaper. (PROSE: New Warehouse To Be Constructed In The Homeworld, A Copper-Colored Christmas Carol, etc.)
In Philatel-426's youth, it was headed by Editor-345, who organised yearly Valentine's Day parties in the Department of Journalism's building, clearing out the printing-room for the occasion. Philatel worked for the Department of Journalism for a time, after completing his training but before the Cupid Parliament approved his plans to set up a Department of Postal Services. Philatel was responsible, among other things, for “looking over the subscription and circulation data of the Cupid Courier”. Philatel would later recall Editor as the best boss he'd ever had, being whisked back to one of his parties by the Ghost of Christmas Past as an equivalent for the “Fezziwig's Christmas office party” tableau when the Three Spirits enacted a Christmas Carol scenario on an older Philatel in 2019. By 2019, it was headed by Journalist-649.
