Department of Documentation

From Jenny Everywhere Wiki

The Department of Documentation was the department of the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids which compiled and filed reports and Cupid Fact Files on the various goings-on in which the Crew became mixed up. It had as is Prefect Bibliophile-962, and employed “Recorder Cupids”. (PROSE: The Case Against Conspiracy, The Strangely-Colored Secret Societies) They had at least one building on the Mainland Cloud, which included a break room. (PROSE: Larrikin and the Christmas Pudding)

They were perpetually low on funds and equipment, with Bibliophile often personally borrowing what he needed from other Cupids such as Pessimist-242. (PROSE: Pessimist and the Dromedaries)

After discovering the Drove of the Demesmaekerite-Dyed Discordias, Amity-965, Amadeo-378 and the other Cupids involved in the adventure immediately reported their findings to the Department of Documentation, although the Fact File on the Drove was only completed “a few years” after the event. (PROSE: The Drove of the Demesmaekerite-Dyed Discordias)

The entire Department once took a trip to the Interdimensional Tavern while in a lunchbreak. Bibliophile used this trip as the basis for the Cupid Fact File which he wrote about the Tavern about a week later. (PROSE: The Interdimensional Tavern)

On the day of the faceless magician incident, the Parliament had been engaged for nine days in a protracted debate about whose responsibility it was to replace the ink in the typewriter of Stenographer-123 (who typed down the Parliamentary and disciplinary logs) when it ran out, the main contenders being the Department of Discipline and the Department of Documentation, with Bibliophile-962 vigorously arguing against the position that it was his Department's responsibility and refusing to let the matter lie. Just as it was about to descend into sheer fisticuffs, the argument finally ended when the destruction of the typewriter in question by the magic rabbits rendered it moot. (PROSE: Magic Trick)

Starting slightly before the romanticisation of Lord Thymon, Bibliophile compiled the Book of Evil. Some time after Mandragora's Great Experiment, he an Technophile-963 worked together on digitising a series of excerpts from the Book, and discovered a mysterious threatening message taking the form of an additional page Bibliophile had no memory of writing. Bibliophile decided to keep it in, as it added some more “evil flavour” to the Book and should be kept an eye on besides. (PROSE: The Book of Evil)

At some point before December 2019, Dandy-432 and Pessimist-242 viewed the Department's video file on the Wellsians. (PROSE: The Frost King's Treasure)
