Mainland Cloud

The Mainland Cloud was the largest of the solid clouds which served as landmasses in the Cupid Homeworld. (PROSE: The Case Against Conspiracy) It was also known as the Central Cloud or simply the Mainland. (PROSE: Acquaintanceship-982 and the Missing Mail Mystery) It was large and populous enough to have streets, and street signs. (PROSE: Larrikin and the Christmas Pudding)

In 2019, it was home, on opposite sides, to the Department of Postal Services' spacious headquarters, and to the abandoned warehouse which then served as the Blue Feather's own H.Q.. Thereafter, the former was razed by the Department of Construction to make way for a new, larger warehouse, while the Blue Feather relocated to an unused wing of the Post Office. The Cupid Courier #1034 included an advertismenet for a new Department of Cinematography film, Green Gorilla Follies!, starring Barnstormer-1009 and Enactor-769, which was to be screened at the Department of Cinematography Main Theater on the Mainland Cloud. It was while he was wandering the Mainland Cloud that Pessimist-242 stumbled upon the Hat and encountered the faceless magician. (PROSE: Magic Trick)

In late 2019, when Celebration-665 organised the Festival of Giving, he placed a giant Advent Calendar on the Mainland Cloud. (PROSE: The Frost King's Treasure) By then, the Department of Baked Goods' building and the Department of Documentation's break room were also located on the Mainland Cloud. (PROSE: Larrikin and the Christmas Pudding) On December 25th, Philatel, newly invested with Christmas cheer by his encounter with the Three Spirits, “ran up and down” the Mainland Cloud giving good wishes to everyone he encountered.
