The Cupid Intelligence Institute, or C.I.I., was the organisation internal to the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids which was made up of all its specialised Departments. It was overseen by the Supreme Quaestor from the C.I.I. Headquarters building. (PROSE: The Winter Quests)

History
“Top researchers” at the Institute attempted to figure out how Octasers' fearsome “eye-beams” functioned, coming up with a theory that it was not a natural ability but actually stemmed from special, weaponized contact lenses. However, this theory could not be tested due to no Cupids managing to get close enough to an Octaser to check. (PROSE: The Euclidean Plane)
In 1978, a Mind Probe was used by the Cupid Intelligence Institute to try and determine why the batch of abductees believed gorillas to be green.
In 1986, the C.I.I. observed Christmas celebrations through the Celestial Telescopes and dispatched a team of Cupids to the Vanityville Supermarket in the hope that the locals, already being in a cheerful Christmas mood, would be more easily romanticised. Following the 1986 discovery of the Society of the Rhyming Dove by the Crew, members of the Institute speculated about how theDoves achieved their constant rhyming, with some speculating that it was a magical effect maintained by some unknown Atlantean artefact.
