In Reality Z-25 31-H, Robot Madison was an android duplicate of Professor Madison created by Madison herself to carry on her various duties while she was away. The real Madison transferred half of her intellect into the android to give her life.
Description
Physical appearance
Robot Madison resembled a crude metal replica of the real Madison, her “hair” a solid piece mimicking Madison's haircut. Unlike the real Madison, she obviously did not wear glasses. She was usually dressed in a trenchcoat. After her battle with agents of the Bureau of Singularity, she lost her right forearm. (COMIC: Singularity War)
Personality
This Madison was courageous, but somewhat irresponsible, preferring to watch television rather than keep the boring vigil she'd been assigned despite the very real threat she was watching out for. (She particularly enjoyed The X Factor.) (COMIC: Singularity War)
Biography
Creation
Professor Madison created this Madison while she was house-sitting the Fortress of Evening for Captain Evening. When she was called upon by Kelly and Jenkins to accompany them to the Nexus of Realities to face the Bureau of Singularity, she downloaded half of her intellect into the android, bringing her to life. She tasked her duplicate with watching over the Fortress in general, and the Pool Portal specifically, while the Professor and the heroes were on the other side. She ended up neglecting these duties to watch television, leading to a large attack force of Singularity agents converging on the Fortress, but she had managed to defeat them all (at the cost of her right forearm) by the time the heroes returned from their adventure. (COMIC: Singularity War) The original Madison subsequently placed her in sleeper mode and stored her at a self-storage facility in New York. She could remotely activate her to act in her stead if she was ever needed in New York at such short notice that the real her couldn't make it in time. (COMIC: Journey Out Of Misery)
Fighting the Cosmic Solution
After a robot known as the Cosmic Solution began causing mayhem in New York City, the original Professor Madison, finding that the Terrific Two were unavailable and being, for her part, too far away, reactivated the robot. Robot Madison rallied Mysto the Space-Wizard, Terry Tornado, the Big Bad Wolf, Red Riding Hood and the Human Tree to take down the robot, since neither the Odds nor the Protectors seemed to be responding quickly enough either. She led a first charge at the robot herself, but it was unsuccessful, and they discovered that the robot doubled in size from any impact it received.
Robot Madison's group were eventually joined by the Odds. While she was stragesing with Captain Evening, Robot Madison suggested that if she had the entire Madison intellect rather than just half, she thought she might be able to find a way to shrink the robot, not just keep it from growing. This prompted Hank Richards, Madison's old assistant, previously believed dead, to reveal himself and help Robot Madison achieve just that. However, the Protectors, arriving late at the scene and crucially misjudging the situation, undid most of these progresses. In the end, the heroes witnessed the Solution leaving of its own accord after another agent of the Cosmic Order called it off in recognition of the fact that a human willing to argue sincerely that “the world was worth saving” had been found after all.
