Consistency Imperium
The Consistency Imperium was a dimensionally-active organisation, who travelled by means of tachyonic sailing ships (PROSE: Rifts Crisis Officially Over!) as well as smaller, boxy-looking Void Ships. (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker)
A self-aggrandising, bloodthirsty individual calling himself the Imperial Imperator was one of their leaders, (COMIC: Jenny Everywhere Meets The Crew Of The Copper-Colored Cupids, PROSE: Rifts Crisis Officially Over!) although the more benevolent Vertolin officially outranked him, and did his best to rein in the Imperator's worst impulses. (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker)
Jenny Everywhere suspected was at least partially responsible for the Rifts Crisis which was threatening to collapse the entire multiverse. (COMIC: Jenny Everywhere Meets The Crew Of The Copper-Colored Cupids)
They were in actuality being manipulated into unintentionally worsening the Rifts by the true villain, Mandragora-257. After the plan was uncovered by a group of Clockwork Cherubs including Bibliophile-962, Marksmanship-522, Tracker-764 and Pythagoras-858 (plus the Hound), Mandragora's Machine backfired and destroyed the Imperium's base. The Imperial Imperator escaped to wreak new havoc, although this was for all intents and purposes the end of the wider organisation. (PROSE: Rifts Crisis Officially Over!)
With the Consistency Palatium in ruins, Vertolin and other repentant survivors of the Imperium tried to atone for their mistakes by building a new city, New Subcinctus, from the ashes of the Palatium, to serve as a refuge for all those who'd lost their homes in the Ritfs Crisis.
