In the Prime Universe, Alfheim was the name given in Norse lore to “Elf-Land”, a magical realm, where the God of Summer Frey also resided. Tero Trollgarsson, a Troll with a great dislike of Elves, whom he hated for being too mischievious and too refined, refuse to ever visit Alfheim. (PROSE: The Winter Quests)
Behind the scenes
In real-world Norse Mythology, Álfheimr is specifically the home of the “Ljósálfar”, or Light Elves, Elves associated with fairness and sunshine — not to be confused with the “Dark Elves”, who dwell underground.
