Description
Physical appearance
In at least one universe, Brunhilda had long blond hair and blue eyes, which flashed yellow when she was angry about something. She otherwise looked very similar to her constant companion Gertrude. (COMIC: 2014 KAMeo Kaper) They habitually wore golden, bikini-like “armour” and matching winged helmets. (COMIC: Caper 2014 Bikini Babes)
Personality
Of herself and Brunhilda, Gertrude was the “ditizer”, more excitable one, spending most of her time getting the two of them roped into reckless shenanigans. (COMIC: 2014 KAMeo Kaper)
Powers & abilities
Gertrude's eyes flashed glowing yellow when she was angry, hinting at her supernatural nature. (COMIC: 2014 KAMeo Kaper)

In Gertrude and Brunhilda's world
In one universe, Brunhilda and Gertrude were a pair of disgraced Valkyries, left to wander the modern world — although Gertrude claimed to have once been a queen. After losing all their belongings in a casino, they got a lucky break in the form of an invitation to Kokotomo Island. (COMIC: 2014 KAMeo Kaper)
There, the girls danced and partied with Armstrong Fatbuckle (COMIC: Tales To Behold Halloween Cameo Caper 2014) and also bumped into Jenny Everwhere and Centennia, who lightly teased them about their metal outfits being inappropriate for the weather — though a smirking Centennia also noted that she suspected they were “always hot”. (COMIC: Caper 2014 Bikini Babes) The Valkyries took off their “bikinis of armour” and lended them to Jenny and Centennia, who put them on for a laugh as they danced with Mr Montibar, (COMIC: Tales To Behold Halloween Cameo Caper 2014) while Brunhilda and Valkyrie changed into swimsuits apparently “borrowed” from other guests at the Island.
The two girls split up. Gertrude, wearing a pink swimsuit, strolled around the beach, socialising with superheroes like Astral, before happening upon what appeared to be another version of herself. The duplicate Gertrude soon revealed herself as Freya before disappearing with a cryptic smile. (COMIC: 2014 KAMeo Kaper)
Behind the scenes
Unlike her companion Brunhilda, Keith Alan Morgan's Gertrude, a recurring character in The KAMics, is not directly based on any known Valkyrie of myth. The closest is a valkyrie named “Geirdriful”, mentioned in the Nafnaþulur, but is unclear whether Morgan actually intended to reference this fairly obscure figure when he created Gertrude.
