Trolls were, in many universe, a species of somewhat magical, brutish-looking humanoids. The term of “Internet troll” was also used to refer to rude Internet users, but this was not always a hard line, as in some universes some online trolls were actual Trolls.

In the Prime Universe, there existed many kinds of Trolls, including “Scandinavian Trolls”. Such a Troll had a “round, hairy shape (…) standing up on a pair of strong, reptilian legs, with a tail that ended in a tuft”, and eyes that glowed red in the darkness. They were intelligent, but not really civilised, usually residing in burrows. They had large appetites and the capacity to digest much of anything, including muddy water or even snake venom. In one fantasy universe, Puddle the Troll appeared as a giant, brutish humanoid with warty skin, large ears, a large mouth with rounded teeth, and tufts of red hair. He was somewhat simple-minded, but capable of speech. In his normal state of mind, he was sweet and helpful, and his eyes had black irises. However, if angered, he could fly into a bestial rage, with his eyes turning crimson. (COMIC: Enchanted)

One universe's Jenny Everywhere once crossed paths with an “Internet Troll” who turned out to be an actual Troll using the Internet. He appeared as a short, hirsute humanoid with a wild shock of hair, dressed in a lurid anime T-shirt and heavy boots; his somewhat incoherent patter was best written down with multiple spelling errors and abbreviations, in all-caps. He accompanied her in her efforts to reason with the rebellious artificial intelligences holding up the Jiujinshan anime con in another universe, though it was not clear which of the two universes, if either, he was native to. A Troll once “somehow got stuck” in the Elevator of the Strange and Wonderful House for an extended period of time. This caused commotion throughout the House, with the Fabulous Salon changing form in protest. (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: The Fabulous Salon)
