Trolls were, in many universe, a species of somewhat magical, brutish-looking humanoids.

In the Prime Universe, there existed many kinds of Trolls, including “Scandinavian Trolls”. Such a Troll had a “round, hairy shape (…) standing up on a pair of strong, reptilian legs, with a tail that ended in a tuft”, and eyes that glowed red in the darkness. They were intelligent, but not really civilised, usually residing in burrows. They had large appetites and the capacity to digest much of amnything, including muddy water or even snake venom. In one fantasy universe, Puddle the Troll appeared as a giant, brutish humanoid with warty skin, large ears, a large mouth with rounded teeth, and tufts of red hair. He was somewhat simple-minded, but capable of speech. In his normal state of mind, he was sweet and helpful, and his eyes had black irises. However, if angered, he could fly into a bestial rage, with his eyes turning crimson. (COMIC: Enchanted)
