Behind the scenes

The Fairy Queen Lurline is a major figure in the backstory of L. Frank Baum's original Oz. Though the version of Oz seen in the Nine-Two-Five Universe series is broadly in line with the original books, the use of Lurline as a deity moreso than a real historical faerie figure seems to have been inspired by the Wicked reimagining novel and its notorious musical adaptation.
