The Search For Kate Five was a three-page comic story, part of Paul Hoppe's webcomic The Cosmic Beholder. A short interlude, it slotted in after the events of the then-current storyline and was a crossover with Kate Five. The two series had previously crossed over from the other end in Symbiote Surprise.

Plot

The dust has cleared after Centennia's latest adventure, with her cautiously being back together with Captain Perfect. However, instead of enjoying this moment of peace, she can't help thinking about the Odds' recent adventure with Kate Five, and worrying about the possessed heroine. Googling her whereabouts, she hears that Kate clashed with some superheroes in Angel Falls, and decides to go there to make sure she's okay, with Captain Perfect joining her.

Following the lead of Kate and her friends having been seen at the Bleeding Rose, Centennia negotiates with Marcus while Perfect uses it as an excuse to sleep around with some of the patrons. Marcus agrees to fly the two heroes to Sark Island, where he recently took Kate Five's friends. Three minutes after being dropped off, however, the two heroes are captured by Ohmega. Questioning the intruders, the villains are almost amused to learn that they're looking for Kate Five, who teleported off mere moments before their arrival. Having heard what she needed to, Centennia easily breaks out of her restraints, to the genuinely-incapacitated Perfect's surprise, but before she can beat up the baddies, is interrupted by a phone call from Professor Madison, who announces with considerable amusement that in fact, Kate Five has just appeared back in New York, right in the Fortress of Evening.
