Jimmy Anytime
Jimmy Anytime was an individual, versions of whom existed in Jenny Everywhere's friend circle in many universes. There existed several Jimmies in the Multiverse, all involved with Jenny Anywhere; although they were in some cosmic sense bound together in the same way as the many versions of Jenny Everywhere, Jimmy did not at any rate possess dimension-shifting abilities of his own, but did (at least in most universes) have the ability to travel in time.
Description
Physical appearance
Jimmy Anytime usually appeared as “a muscular, young, Canadian man with blond hair and blue eyes”, wearing a dark T-shirt with a white maple leaf design, and black trousers. (PROSE: Jenny Everywhere and the Very Normal Story, COMIC: Jenny Everywhere and Friends) Some versions of him, including the so-called “original”, dyed their hair to better stand apart from Jimmy Wherever. Personality
Although ultimately a hero, some versions of Jimmy Anytime were “edgier” and more cynical in their demeanour than Jimmy Wherever. However, Anytime also displayed a more poetic, romantic bent, and a great commitment to making his loving relationship with Anywhere work.

Powers & abilities
Jimmy Anytime had an innate ability to travel through time. He could “meld” this ability with Jenny Anywhere's limited shifting by holding hands with her, allowing the pair of them to match Jenny Everywhere's own powers. (PROSE: Jenny Everywhere and the Very Normal Story)
Biography
Original Jimmy Anytime
According to one source, there existed an “original” Jimmy Anytime (as there did Jimmy Wherever#a Jimmy Wherever, in the same dimension), to whom something happened to make his template resonate across the Multiverse, bringing into existence the network of Jimmies who all considered themselves to be equally the boyfriend of any one Jenny Anywhere. Prior to this happening, after Wherever had been captured by an unknown party, a full-grown clone of him, with temporal powers, was created. Upon coming out of the cloning tank, this Jimmy believed himself to be the original, having all of Wherever's memories, but a form of mind control was implanted in his brain to make him want to kill Wherever once he realised his own true nature. After overcoming this control, the duplicate chose the alternative name of Jimmy Anytime, started dyeing his hair and wearing different clothes from Wherever, and ended up dating Jenny Anywhere.
At some point, a version of Jenny Nowhere who wanted to be Jenny Everywhere's only equal tapped into the time-travel powers of one version of Anytime to go back to the original two Jimmies and extract them from their timeline, thus cancelling out the existence of the network of subsequent Jimmies: although these other Jimmies did not disappear, they no longer had any sense of their multiversal existence, and no longer had a bond with the Jennies unless they had personally met them. Nowhere took Wherever and Anytime to her space station in one universe, and stripped them down to their underwear as well as washing the dye from Anytime's hair, making it impossible to distinguish them. She also reinstated Anytime's mind-control. Anywhere rescued the two Jimmies from the acid pool over which she was dangling them, only for Anytime's programming to kick in, making him try to kill Wherever. However, Anywhere was able to do the same thing Nowhere had done, tapping into Anytime's own powers to return him and Wherever to their home dimension and time and undoing Nowhere's meddling. High-schooler in the 1980s
In one universe reminiscent of a clichéd 1980s high-school movie, Jimmy Anytime attended high school alongside Jenny Everywhere and Jimmy Wherever. This incarnation of Jimmy wore a green sweater. (PROSE: Jenny Everywhere and the Lord of Hell)
Answering a phone call
One version of Jimmy Anytime, who had light brown hair and the standard appearance, worked as a detective. He kept his powers of time-travel a secret, but, on one occasion where he answered a phone-call, could not help but make a private joke, assuring the person on the other end that he would arrive “just in time” with a smirk. Trapped in a “Very Ordinary” world
One universe's incarnation of Jimmy Anytime, a clone of Jimmy Wherever who closely resembled him, (COMIC: Is it gay to have a crush on the person you are cloned from) was friends with one Jenny Everywhere, and was dating Jenny Anywhere. By joining their powers, they could travel through time as well as across dimensions. Jenny Nowhere once managed to trap both of them in a conspicuously mundane universe from which it was impossible to shift, alongside several others among Jenny's allies, and, ultimately, Jenny herself. While they tried to figure out their situation, Anywhere and Anytime shared a romantic evening dancing at night under willow trees; each of the two confided to the other that they'd had feelings for other people (in Anytime's case, none other than Jimmy Wherever) but reaffirmed that it was one another that they truly loved. The two later stood with Jenny Everywhere against Nowhere, ultimately resulting in the shifters being allowed to leave. (PROSE: Jenny Everywhere and the Very Normal Story)

Genesis
Jimmy Anytime was unveiled by Carter-Ethan Rankin in April 2013 on the Public Domain Super-Heroes Wiki, using the same open-source license as Jenny Everywhere's, as part of an effort to create a recurring background cast for Jenny that could be used as freely as the Shifter herself. Rankin created Jenny Anywhere and Jimmy Wherever around the same period.
The public-domain blurb written by Rankin to introduce the character included many details which were only translated into narrative media years later.
| Jimmy Anytime is a genetically modified clone created from a tissue sample obtained from the real Jimmy Wherever, accelerated to maturity artificially in an attempt to capture and subdue the recently appeared wannabe of Jenny Everywhere, Jenny Anywhere. Though, who did this and why matters little, in terms of the character himself. Although originally rivals, Jimmy Anytime saw through his mental programming and joined sides with Jenny Anywhere. The two are now a couple.
In contrast to Jimmy Wherever having no powers, Jimmy Anytime has been created with time traveling abilities to coincide with Jenny Anywhere being able to shift to any other location and/or reality but, not forward or backward in time. They may join their powers together by simply holding hands, in order for both to travel through space, reality and time. He is Canadian with blond hair, blue eyes, and an athletic build. Where he came from or what his up-bringing was like is, as yet, unknown. Being a clone, he has developed Jimmy Wherever's excellent detective skills. |
