Barnabus Raffleby
In the Jynx Dimension, Barnabus Raffleby succeeded Viltus as the Chamberlain to the Dark Lord of Shenanig.
He served Lord Nefarious in that position for thirty-six years, developing a friendship of sorts with Nefarious, whom he saw as a good ruler, if not necessarily a good person. He never cared for Nefarious's lawyer Sebastian Steer, however, and was thus much put out when, following Nefarious's unexpected death during a visit to another dimension, Steer proclaimed himself the new Dark Lord. As Steer was acknowledged as the Dark Lord by “ ancient eldritch powers binding the members of the the Dark Court”, Raffleby was forced to continue to serve Steer, doing his best to give practical solutions to the Emperor's demands lest he grow bored and use his violent magic to get his way.
After the Clown Emperor took over the Imperial Castle, he stuffed both Steer and Raffleby in a broom closet, tied up with magical, unbreakable ropes. Despite being tied up himself, Raffleby found the idea that Steer was no longer on the throne immensely satisfying, although it did not last, with the Clown eventually giving up on his powers and Imperial Guards finding and freeing the Emperor and the Chamberlain.
