In one universe, Hector Fenwick was a human writer who occasionally contributed to a web fiction series about the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids.
Description
Physical appearance
When he visited the Cupid Homeworld, Fenwick appeared as “a man in his early 30s, with expressive, green eyes, and dark brown hair that came down upon his forehead in bangs”, wearing a red-and-black tracksuit. (PROSE: The Metafictional Meddler)
Biography
Having somehow acquired or constructed a Void Ship which took the form of a somewhat showoff-ish capsule, Fenwick, who had in the past written one story about the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids, gained access into the actual Cupid Homeworld in late 2019. There, he happened upon Juliet-178, Diggy-292, Larrikin-1029, and Pessimist-242. He explained that he wished to bring home a supply of Cupid Arrows and Cupid Love Potion with which to make everyone in the world fall in love with his writing, allowing him to become fantastically successful as a writer; ironically, he hoped that he would, as a result, never again have to write about the Cupids.
Irritated by his pseudo-villainous demeanour and the constant non sequiturs with which he bombarded them (such as facile logical quibbles about various fictional stories unrelated to the Cupids), the four took him before the Cupid Parliament. There, he also made himself a nuisance to the Parliamentary Cupids, trying to unsettle the Cupids by claiming that they weren't really sentient. With even Patient-039 losing his cool, the Cupids ultimately agreed to catch Fenwick in a burlap sack (which he recognised as a running gag from the fiction series), then stuff him back into his capsule with the controls set to take him back to his home universe then self-destruct once Fenwick was no longer inside.
To ensure that he would get the last laugh, Fenwick decided to pen a new story about the Cupids, summarising his visit to the Homeworld and ending with a scene of Fenwick at his computer, literally having the last laugh as the story came to a close. (PROSE: The Metafictional Meddler)
Behind the scenes
Fenwick, the titular Metafictional Meddler of PROSE: The Metafictional Meddler, was, of course, an in-universe counterpart of the occasional The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids guest writer Hector Fenwick, who also wrote The Metafictional Meddler.
