In one universe, after visiting the Cupid Homeworld in person, Hector Fenwick wrote a story which starred himself and described his experiences there, as part of a series about the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids to which Fenwick had already contributed in the past. To make sure he “got the last laugh” after his unwilling expulsion from the Homeworld, he appended an epilogue describing himself writing the story — and laughing. (PROSE: The Metafictional Meddler)
