Legion of the Chartreuse Tortoise

The Legion of the Chartreuse Tortoise was one of the Strangely-Colored Secret Societies of the Prime Universe, founded as splinters of the First Horde.

Some were made up of former brainwashed human Horde operatives, who dressed up in animal-themed costumes, while others were made up of mutated animals created to serve the Horde's purposes by Professor Scarper; the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids' Fact File on the Secret Societies did not specify which of the two cases applied to the Legion. The Mad Elephant and Green Gorilla who were imprisoned in Research Laboratory 6 by the Drove of the Database-Compiling Dromedaries were both familiar with the Legion and its leader. Statements made by both suggested that the leader in question was scary to an elephant but not to a gorilla, suggesting he may have been a mouse. (PROSE: Pessimist and the Dromedaries)
