Lieutenant Baron Skollops ag-Warka was one of the surviving Wellsians (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker) whom Pythagoras-858 failed to defeat at Morningstar 1 on Venus. (PROSE: The Grand Multiverse Hotel) He was the “ace pilot” of the Wellsian military, and it fell to him to fly the Void Ship stolen and adapted by the Wellsians from the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids.

Biography

In 1897

Skollops was one of the Wellsians of the 97th Cosmos who participated in the attempted 1897 invasion of Earth Earth. After the invasion was foiled by a plague which decimated the Wellsians, a few non-contaminated ones escaped in a Tripod modified for space travel, which found its way to Venus, where it crashed. (VIDEO: The Wellsians, PROSE: The Resurrection of the Wellsians) The seven Wellsians who survived the crash went into hibernation while their craft became buried under many feet of Venusian sand. Eventually, nearly a century later, a base called Morningstar 1 was built by the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids over the exact spot of the crash. The Wellsians, in their sleep, telepathically felt the new presences, but did not wake yet. (PROSE: The Resurrection of the Wellsians)

Resurrection

Having unearthed the Tripod by accident while trying to dig up a new pool, the alchemist Mandragora-257, who had been banished to Morningstar 1 after one of his experiments went wrong in the Homeworld, engaged in a “Great Experiment” to revive the intact, but hibernating Wellsians he had extracted from the wreckage. He promised the base's Governor that the resurrected aliens, who would be able to rebuild their Heat Rays, would allow him to rebel against the Crew once and for all, conquer the Earth, and use it as a launching point for an all-out campaign across the Multiverse.

However, the Wellsians were playing the Cupids for their own ends. After finding that the Governor had locked the three Fog Ships kept on retainer in the base, they sent a psychic distress call to the Cupid Homeworld to lure a new vehicle: the Department of Problem-Solving's Ship. The Problem-Solvers uncovered Mandragora's plans, but were unable to stop things from violently coming to a head, with one Wellsian killing Governor-105 point-blank and the other trying to shoot Mandragora. Because Mandragora was carrying an explosive chemical on his person at the time, this caused an explosion which destroyed the base, killing that Wellsian and one other, as well as discorporating Mandragora. The other Cupids were unharmed, but soon discovered that the five remaining Wellsians had long since taken advantage of the distraction to make their escape. Founding New Wellsia

In their stolen ship, the Wellsians made their way to the Interdimensional Black Market and subsequently acquired a new planet, (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker) where they began resurrecting some of their old traditions. Skollops put his skills as an “ace pilot” to good use mastering the stolen Fog Ship, and outfitted it with a Heat Ray.

On their first Allac-Ur, after the five Wellsians received Darius's invitation to the Land of Manik, Skollops agreed to come along. After matters resolved themselves, the Wellsians went home with their chosen share of the Frost King's treasure, namely a bell which served as the perfect finishing touch to their Allac-Ur festivities. For the next year's Allac-Ur, Skollops worked with the other three surviving Wellsians to arrange for the purchase of an enchanted music bow from Madame Tarsa as a present to the New Wellsian Empire's leader, Radluhac ag-Wampyr. When the box failed to appear in time, he conferred with General Sympus, with them agreeing on having Skollops travel to the Interdimensional Black Market to see if there were any rumours about what had had happened to Tarsa, and purchase an alternative gift if she could not be found.

Using his psychic abilities to take control of the Queen of the Black Market's Wraiths, Skollops overheard a conversation between the Queen, Pythagoras-858 and Sherlock Holmes on the subject of Artefacts of Power and demanded to be given one to present to Radluhac. However, he was snuck up on and defeated by the Queen's lover Wendy VII, who was invisible to the Wraiths thanks to her psychic dampener hair-clip. He ended up having to bargain instead, exchanging a lesser artefact, the Whistle of the Witch Varganax, for the knowledge of where the Clown Emperor had gone after escaping from Holmes and Pythagoras.
