The Home City was the name given by the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids, and later adopted by others, by a city in the Prime Universe that was home to their Creator.
Description
The Home City shared its geographic location and many features, but not its name, with the 38167th Universe's New Flaversham. It was deceptively normal at first glance, but was actually home to many strange sights such as “mad scientists escorted to the patent office by their own robots”, “furtive men in secret society garb bashfully asking for loose change”, or “witches haggling over groceries”. History
In the 1960s, after escaping from the clutches of the First Horde, the Company of Free Genies drifted to the Home City and set up shop there. (PROSE: The Interlude of Jenny Everywhere) Around the same time, Cupida Hartnell created the Clockwork Cherubs in her garage, (PROSE: The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids)
Later on, the Crew continued to sometimes send Cupids on missions to this city, including to locations such as Whetstone Park, a public park notable for being decorated with copper statues. Unaware of the latter fact fact, the Crew once randomly assigned Pessimist-242 on a romanticisation mission in this Park. Much to their surprise, he got very good result, as, by remaining immobile when not actively doing something, he easily passed for one more statue. Due to these good results, Pessimist was sent back to the Park on many more occasions. On one of them, he was abducted by Assistant Researcher Lila of the Drove of the Database-Compiling Dromedaries, another First Horde splinter, and taken to their seemingly-nearby Research Laboratory 6. During their time travelling together during the Rifts Crisis, Pythagoras-858 mentioned the Home City to Jenny Everywhere on multiple occasions. She initially thought he was referring to the capital of the Cupid Homeworld until she realised the truth. Shortly after the fall of the Consistency Palatium, while getting back into the “shifting groove”, she paid the City a first visit. Later, after she failed to find the Lurigadawne of Tipperary in Dimension 77, she returned to the City to seek the help of the Company of Free Genies, meeting a local ghost, the Mad Marquess, in their lobby.
