Midwesterners (Oasis of Horror)
In Reality Z-25 31-H, a strange family of Midwesterners lived in an isolated house in an oasis in the middle of the Mojave Desert. Though they were entirely unremarkable people in their behaviour and way of life, they looked like strange square-headed monsters. They were once forced out of their house by a mysterious villain who took up residence there. The Terrific Two, headed home from their stay at Professor Madison's, ended up bumping into the stranded Midwesterners and were originally convinced by the villain that they were dangerous monsters while he was the rightful owner of the house. However, after they broke through the barricaded house and made off with Jenkins, they were able to explain themselves to the two visitors. When they returned to the house by morning, the villain had disappeared, though he left behind a ticking bomb which only Kelly's superstrength allowed them to dispose of in time. When Jenkins and Professor Madison broke into Floor 239 of the headquarters of the Bureau of Singularity (who watched over Reality Z-25 31-H, among other universes), one of these individuals was visible on one of the monitors. (COMIC: Singularity War)
