Mask of Odious

The Mask of Odious was the crude wooden mask worn by Odious, the Abstract of Misfortune, to conceal his face.

Odious actually appeared to wear at least two different Masks over the years. While he was an enemy of the Wilson, he wore a rectangular mask which had no eye-holes and instead bore an Abstract sigil similar to the one adorning the Illumination's collar. (COMIC: The Jenny Everywhere Chronicles) However, by the time he acted as a companion to Jenny Everywhere, he wore a mask with a more irregular shape and in which a distinct sigil was carved, hollowing out the wood, allowing darkness to be seen beneath. Odious's two glowing red eyes could also be seen.

At any rate, as Odious would put it when about to take it off as an offensive action, “the mask is for your protection”: seeing Odious's true face was enough to incapacitate most mortals due to his nature as an Abstract. (GAME: The Jenny Everywhere Roleplaying Game)
