Holotexts had largely replaced physical books in one futuristic universe. Libraries like the Neptunian Orbital University kept large stocks of individual holoterminals on which the holotexts could be consulted. Holotext magnets were illegal device through which a library patron could pull a holotext out of the library's databanks, and not merely download a copy of it. (PROSE: Extradimensional Experiments)
