In one universe, the mother and father of Trent and Billy were in charge of a habitat bunker on colony planet until they decided to retire early. Having always favoured Trent, they handed over custody of the bunker to him. Consumed with envy and resentment, a 24-year-old Billy ended up faking evidence that Trent had struck an alliance with the Eagles and leaked it to the Eagles' bitter rivals, the Kievs, thus tricking the Kievs into breaking the truce forbidding them from interfering with civilians and attacking the bunker. They killed Billy and Trent's parents, and the rest of the bunker's inhabitants, while Billy and Trent made their escape. (COMIC: Betrayal of Brothers)
