The Gump
The Gump was a Gump from the Land of Oz who, after being killed by hunters and becoming a mounted head, was reanimated by means of the Powder of Life.
Biography
Visited by Acquaintanceship
In the version of Oz which was visited by Acquaintanceship-982, the Gump was one of the beings who had been brought to life using the Crooked Man's Powder of Life over the years. In his case, he started out as a stuffed mounted head before being attached to a makeshift flying vehicle. He did not much enjoy the experience, and, though he remained alive, was later separated from the flying body and put back on a wall in the Emerald Palace, which suited him perfectly well. After the Imps Olite, Udent and Ertinent escaped, stole various magical artefacts, and disassembled the Red Wagon to delay any pursuers, the Woggle-Bug suggesting reassembling the Gump, but the Gump's head objected strenuously. In the end, the group decided to use Acquaintanceship-982's Fog Ship. (PROSE: The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids in Oz)
