In Reality Z-25 31-H, the Young Protectors were a team of teenage superheroes, affiliated with the grown-up Mighty Protectors.
After the Cosmic Solution wiped out the original Mighty Protectors, there was widespread speculation that the Young Protectors would inherit the status of primary Protectors. However, a mysterious team made up of duplicates of the original, the New Protectors, snagged up that legacy instead. Hero Hour attempted to interview the Young Protectors on the situation, but they refused to comment. (COMIC: Epilogue To The Epilogue)
