Biography
In Acquaintanceship's Oz
The Nome King was a known villain in one universe's version of Oz, which was later visited by Acquaintanceship-982. He once owned a powerful Magic Belt, and used it to transform various friends of Dorothy Gale's into miscellaneous ornaments. However, being fond of games, he had allowed for an escape clause: one had only to correctly identify which object was who, and to say the word “Ev!”, to reverse the spell. Dorothy subsequently took lasting ownership of the Belt. (PROSE: The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids in Oz)
Merging with Lord Grallyx
After Jenny Everywhere transported herself and Lord Grallyx to Oz, Grallyx briefly merged with the Nome King. (PROSE: Jenny Everywhere and the Lord of Hell)
With the Secret League of the Orange-Bearded Gnome
One version of King Roquat was contacted by the interdimensional Secret League of the Orange-Bearded Gnomes and dyed the tips of his white beard red, so that he would be allowed to join. He was present at a convention of the League at the Gnome Place when Jenny Everywhere inadvertently crashed the meeting. She recognised him as King Roquat from the memories of another Jenny, unintentionally worsening the paranoid King's suspicion that she was some kind of malevolent spy aiming to bring down the League and expose its secrets. The King seemed to still have baggage about the loss of his magic belt and being defeated by a witch who called what he described as “armies of scarecrows, and, and metal men, and chickens” to his aid.
