Zurline

From Jenny Everywhere Wiki

One, very eldritch version of Santa Claus was referred to as the Hag-Son of Zurline along other titles. (PROSE: A Very Jenny Over-There Christmas (2024 reedit)) He was also known as “the son of nymphs”. (PROSE: A Very Jenny Over-There Christmas)

Behind the scenes

Most of Santa Claus's titles in A Very Jenny Over-There Christmas are loose references to L. Frank Baum's Life and Times of Santa Claus, where Santa was found as a baby, adopted and raised by a “Wood Nymph” called Necile. The 2024 reedit of the story dubbed him “the Hag-Son of Zurline”; Zurline in the same Baum novel was the Queen of Nymphs, but, although she presided over his adoption by Necile, was not originally his adoptive mother herself.
