The Fireys were beings who inhabited the Labyrinth in one universe, who were reportedly “very fond of removable things on a being”. Jareth warned Jenny Everywhere that she might encounter them as she made her way through his Labyrinth, and told her to inform them that he was using his authority as Goblin King to formally ban them from trying to take Jenny's scarf or goggles from her, on pain of being “bog-saturated”. (PROSE: Everywhere's The Thing!)

Behind the scenes

The Fireys, or “the Fire Gang”, are characters from the original Labyrinth. Able to detach their heads and limbs from their bodies without pain or injury, they do not seem to comprehend that this is not true of humans, and threaten to take the heroine's head off for fun.
