In one universe, a version of Nyarlathotep with a variety of physical avatars of different genders identified themself as an Outer God, kin to (but having an antagonistic relationship with) Yog-Sothoth.
One of Nyarlathotep's avatars was a young man dressed in an elegant black suit, who bore a strong resemblance to Nicola Tesla if he wore an Egyptian pharaoh's ceremonial false beard. In this persona, he acquired the “fourth Shining Trapezohedron” and travelled to Manhattan where he laid in wait for Dwain and Karolyn Carter, descendants of Randolph Carter who were apparently looking to gather all the Trapezohedra. He phoned the Multidimensional Finders Service for an update on their location, but the Carters also wound up phoning the M.F.S. and learning about Nyarlathotep's possession of the gem. Nyarlathotep later phoned again, now appearing as “a blonde woman wearing a bunny-eared headband and a corset which prominently displayed a black-hole-esque logo with the text ‘The NULL’” on it, strongly suggesting that this manifestation was a Bunny Nullhare. Nyarlathotep then learned that the Carters had taken refuge in Kadath, immediately realising that Yog-Sothoth had a hand in the matter. Declaring, when Jenny wished her a polite “Good luck”, that “We Outer Gods make our own luck,” she hung up, intent on punching Yog-Sothoth. (PROSE: Who Laws the Lawyers?)
