Nyarlathotep (925th Universe)
One version of Nyarlathotep existed in the 925th Universe. Described as an example of an “eldritch horror beyond man's imagination”, he “was not very honest”.
When she was fourteen, around 2012, budding occultist Marietta Over-There worshipped Nyarlathotep. He claimed to her that by sacrificing her cousin Jenny's cat Grober in a ritual, she could summon Yog-Sothoth from his slumber, which would end the world. Marietta went through with the deed, driving a decade-long rift between her and Jenny but entirely failing to summon Yog-Sothoth or end the world. Seeing how she had hurt Jenny, Marietta ceased to worship Nyarlathotep and turned herself around to become the heroic occultist Lady Satan. (PROSE: A Very Jenny Over-There Christmas)
Jenny criticised Marietta for not having recollected, from their shared childhood study of the Necronomicon, that Nyarlathotep's claims to the teen girl were wrong in multiple ways, from Yog-Sothoth not being the abomination who might destroy the universe by being woken from his slumber (that being Azathoth), to Nyarlathotep himself not being counted among the Elder Gods, contrary to his boasts.
