Neeta was a nonhuman mechanic and junk scavenger. They existed in a number of realities, in some of them being an acquaintance or even friend of Jenny Everywhere.

Description

Physical appearance

Neeta's body was made of a hardened light-blue crystal-like substance; she had red medium-length hair and black eyes with gold irises. Though broadly humanoid in shape, they had a long, flexible tail ending in a scorpion-like sting. Neeta usually wore practical clothes including a yellow short-sleeved T-shirt, baggy, dark green trousers, and a utility belt, a pink cap, and their high-tech mauve-tinged goggles. (PROSE: The New Mission)

Personality

Neeta seemed to be a cheerful but secretive person, enthusiastic about their work as an engineer but keeping coworkers at arm's length. (PROSE: The New Mission)

Powers & abilities

As well as being a competent mechanic, at least one version of Neeta displayed the peculiar ability to live among humans without them ever consciously noticing that they were an alien. (PROSE: The New Mission)

Biography

As N. Pacenikov

Mission Doppleganger

A determined Octobriana prepares to board the rocket to Doppleganger. (PROSE: The New Mission)

In one universe, Octobriana was present on Earth during the Second World War, working for the U.S. Space Force (who were mysteriously unaware of her nature as an alien). After the planet Doppleganger unexpectedly appeared in the solar system, America and Russia came to an agreement for a joint space reconnaissance mission that would beat Germany to the potential prize, and ascertain whether there was any life on Doppleganger (and, if so, if it was hostile). Neeta was the one who escorted the team of three, comprising Octobriana, Miss Victory and Jenny Everywhere, to their spacecraft. (PROSE: The New Mission)

Behind the scenes

Genesis

Neeta was created on August 4th, 2012 by Michael Lee Lunsford on DeviantArt. Even more completely open-source than Jenny Everywhere, the character does not require any kind of attribution license or disclaimer. Their original description read:

This is a completely open source character that anyone can use. Neeta was created by polling my viewers on various traits and things until we had the basic idea for what she looked like and who she is.

Name: Neeta Occupation: Mechanic and Junk Scavenger Race: Alien Body: Made of a hardened crystal like substance. Hair: Redhead Eyes: Black with Gold irises. Special Gadget: Super tech goggles with computer interface help her in her mechanic work and sifting through junk for hidden treasures.

She is particularly energetic and joyful, but the work she's done with other scavengers also has taught her to be a bit selfish, as it's how they've learned to survive.

In the comments, fellow DeviantArt user Robert Pavelcheck made a few further suggestions about the character.

…Already coming up with another mechanic-scrounger character for her to argue with.

Also, I'm going to assume unless told otherwise that being made of crystalline-stuff, her eves act like camera lenses and can zoom in on microscopic details. Other-scrounger has to wear bulky goggles to get the same effect, and is mildly annoyed at this inequality.

Another assumption: her red hair gets its color the way many birds and insects do, by refraction rather than pigment, as her hair is also crystalline and jointed like her tail, just extremely fine. If you shine a light through her at the right angle, most of her body will appear the same red as her hair. If she got really clever with light placement, she could design a garment that would make her appear to glow orange. I picture it in midnight-blue-ballgown.

I like to analyze stuff.
