Angels were heavenly, supernatural beings who opposed Demons.

History

In at least one universe, angels, such as a seraph, could be summoned down to Earth by speaking Enochian. (PROSE: John Dee, Jenny Everywhere: Round One)

The Conservatory of the Strange and Wonderful House appeared to be a corrupted version of the Garden of Eden. Accordingly, it was guarded by a mad angel who tried to kill all who entered. He appeared as a wizened old man with a machete to the naked eye, but his reflections revealed his true form as a many-winged creature wielding a flaming sword. (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: Back to the Garden) After, in the throes of mad rage, the Mad Gardener morphed into a demon, (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: The Madman) another angelic Gardener, who, unlike him, had not “succumbed to the madness”, made himself known and saved the visitor the Mad Gardener was trying to kill. The Mad Gardener referred to him as Grigori. (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: The Saviour) After beheaded the Madman, Grigori knelt over his body, his spade “held like a Templar’s sword”, stating: “Let your body feed the garden, my brother. As in death, also in life.” Grigori then led the visitor away, warning him that the scent of blood would draw out more of the dangerous entities dwelling in the garden. (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: The Gardener) “Tragedies from the Gardeners” were among the thrilling tales told or performed on the Stage of the House. (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: The Stage)

The Strange and Wonderful House was also connected via a portal to a version of Pandemonium, central city of Hell. It was described “marvellously and lovingly crafted from the labour of angels”. The version of the Devil who held court in the Great Hall was himself described as “the most beautiful and deadly angel anyone had ever cast eyes on”. (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: The Portal to Pandemonium) Likewise the milder Lucifer of another world considered himself to be an Angel. His nature as one was what allowed him to process Jenny's words when the voices of all her other selves overlapped in a single reply. (PROSE: Shippy Shifter Snippets)

In the Prime Universe, after the rise of Christianity, Aphrodite sometimes posed as a demon or as a sorceress, not having the patience, nor the modesty, to pose as an angel or as the Virgin Mary. (PROSE: Magic Trick) An Angel called Sneernobiel resided in the Cupid Homeworld by Christmas 2020. (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker)

An Angel, announcing itself with a plea for mortals to “be not afraid”, materialised in the parking lot near Jenny Everywhere's home in one universe, with much fracas. (PROSE: Pit Stop)

One universe was home to angels of several kinds, including Principalities. They could “fall” to become demons. Aziraphale was one such angel. As an angel, he was immortal, and had the ability to exercise “miracles”. (PROSE: You've Been To Eden, I Perceive)

One version of Jenny Everywhere who helped a human Jenny defeat Jenny Nowhere in the Infinite was “half-angel, half-demon”. (PROSE: Jenny Everywhere and the Nowhere Spiral)

In one universe, a young Merlin believed that “angels were supposed to tell people not to be afraid and demons were supposed to be monsters”, for which reason Jenny Everywhere did not seem to match either category. (PROSE: Close Encounter of the Bird Kind)

Angels also existed in Jenny Cornelius's Universe, where she was acquainted with a Mr Fell” who had once guarded a gate; his people were locked in a cold war with “the opposition”. He once noted that some of his lot carried flaming swords, but none resembling the one she had brought back from somewhere “far, far away”. (PROSE: Dog Days of Sumer)

In Reality Z-25 31-H, Takako Yoshida, a former assassin turned superhero, adopted the alias of “Battle Angel”. (PROSE: Battle Angel Yoshida Bio, etc.) In that same world, Matthias Geist had the ability to summon angel-like flaming wings on his back, either as a single pair or as a set of three, which were described as his “Seraphim set”. (PROSE: Angel Falls: Vengeance)

Making “snow angels” by lying on the ground and moving one's arms up and down to create an impression of wings in the snow was one of the wintery activities Ally-1243 tried to show Pessimist-242 in December 2019. (PROSE: Ally Builds a Snowman) Angels were also mentioned in the traditional Christmas carol Hark! The Herald Angels Sing which was known to the Copper-Colored Cupids by that same date, presumably from the Prime Universe. (PROSE: The Copper-Colored Cupids go Caroling)
