At least some versions of the Land of Oz, such as the one visited by Acquaintanceship-982, were located on the continental mainland of Nonestica within a wider region known as Ozeria. (PROSE: The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids in Oz)
Behind the scenes
Oz scholar Robert R. Pattrick proposed the name of “Nonestica” for the continental mainland on which Oz and its neighbouring magical lands were located, with “Ozeria” referring to the geological continent also including the Nonestic Ocean that surrounds Nonestica. The name “Nonestica” was never used in Baum's books, instead being coined in 1959 in the Baum Bugle fanzine by Robert R. Pattrick; however, it and “Ozeria” are close derivations of Baum's public-domain coinages “Nonestic Ocean” and “Oz”, for which reasons the names are commonly understood to likewise be free to use.
