Woods of Faerie

In the Collapsed Cosmos, after her life merged with part of a book following an incident in a library where reality was unstable, Jenny Everywhere and her travelling companions (Glendalf and several Orcs) flew over the woods of Faerie as they made their way to Scotland.

They were “a thick forest, where they saw figures scuttling which may or may not have been human and heard snatches of song and cries that might have been of terror or ecstasy”. Some of the party wanted to stop there for a side-quest, but it was eventually agreed that they first make their way to their intended destination, and only circle back to Faerie afterwards. The unstable hybrid reality collapsed before they could reach that last part of the plan. However, Jenny, after regaining more of her identity, later resolved to get back to the same frame of reference to find Glendalf and the Orcs again, travelling to Faerie for the purpose.
