One universe's version of Chicago looked fairly normal as of 1938. It contained Evergreen Airfield and State Street (where the Benton Cinema was located).
In this world, Jenny Everywhere existed as simply a fictional character, the subject of a comic book which debuted at the same time as “the one with some bloke bashing a car”. An actual incarnatin of Jenny ended up shifting into this world just as one Chicago kid debated whether to buy the comic, impressing him enough to make him his mind. Continuing with the adventure that had brought her there, Jenny headed to the cinema, where she found that War of the Worlds and its Martians were also fiction there. (COMIC: Miss Adventure)
