Shift-preventing chain

Shift-preventing chains, or shift-proof chains, were chains which would prevent their wearer from shifting.
Shift-preventing chains were drawn into existence by Jenny Everywhere using a magical quill while she and Lord Grallyx were trapped inside a book in one universe. They kept Grallyx trapped inside the book, unable to shift out of it. (PROSE: Jenny Everywhere and the Lord of Hell)
Jenny Anywhere acquired a shift-proof chain with great difficulty, and, after besting her in combat, used it to tie down Jenny Nowhere, whom she wished to interrogate about the disappearance of Jenny Everywhere. (PROSE: The Disappearance of Jenny Everywhere)
