The Makara Isles were a “fantasy land” in one universe.
After falling through a “red hole”, one incarnation of Jenny Everywhere had adventures across the Isles with a growing party of companions, having been set a quest of saving the Isles by restoring four sacred pillars. These adventures led to her encountering vampires (including Dracula's daughters), gargoyles, mimics, bush people, Chocobos, creatures which posed as owls, a baby dragon, a fairy, and various ghosts.
