Méliès-125 was a Mark II Clockwork Cherub of the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids, and the Prefect of the Department of Cinematography.
Around Halloween 2019, he was trying to shoot a horror film for the internal consumption of the Crew, The Cupid Who Hated Love. He initially wanted Pessimist-242 for the title role, and, after Pessimist declined, attempted “to make do with a puppet made to look like Pessimist (rather poorly, in the eyes of the visually-inclined). Méliès had insisted that this only added to the horror; the other actors were thus forced to tolerate its presence”. (PROSE: The Ghosts and the Machine)
