Guinevere

Guinevere

From Jenny Everywhere Wiki

Queen Guinevere was traditionally King Arthur's wife and the Queen of Camelot.

In at least one universe, King Arthur's wife was known, in her own time, as as Queen Gwenhwyfar. In that universe, Merlin was first told that a woman called “Gwenhwyfar” would be important in his future by a version of Jenny Everywhere who had met his future self. (PROSE: Close Encounter of the Bird Kind) She was dining at the Round Table with Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table when Jenny Everywhere burst in on the assembled court. When Jenny inquired, she told her about Ambrosius Merlin, of whom she seemed to be fairly fond. (PROSE: The Interlude of Jenny Everywhere)

In some universes, the John F. Kennedy administration was nicknamed “Camelot”. This symbolically made Kennedy King Arthur, and his killer, a retired U.S. Marine, “Mordred”; in one universe, “Guinevere” stepped in to stop the assassination, adding a further layer to the metaphor. (PROSE: Fragment: Guinevere and Mordred)
