El Dorado
From Jenny Everywhere Wiki
One universe's Jenny, who often dreamed of adventures her other selves were having, once dreamt of a Jenny who was “trekking through the Amazon” in search of “the treasures of El Dorado”. (PROSE: The Genesis of Jenny Everywhere)
Behind the scenes
“El Dorado” originated as a Spanish name for the Muisca zipa who, as part of a ceremony, would cover himself in gold and throw some gold items into a lake. Later legend twisted it into the name of a mythical South American city supposedly holding untold riches. It is unclear whether the “treasures of El Dorado” mentioned in The Genesis of Jenny Everywhere mean to refer to treasures belonging to El Dorado-the-man, or to treasures contained within El Dorado-the-city.
