Big Bangs were instrumental in the inceptions of new universes, but took large amounts of energy. After the Destroyer damaged the proto-multiverse, it was too damaged for a Big Bang to take place, until the Defender sacrificed herself to fill the gaps in reality, enabling the birth of the Multiverse.
