Anchor
An Anchor was an individual with whom a Shifter formed a bond to “anchor” themselves to the particular universe to which the Anchor was native.
The process caused a great shock to the Anchor, but allowed the Shifter to gain all the relevant information about their surroundings that they would possess if they were themselves a native, as well as slightly shifting their appearance to match said surroundings. Jenny Everywhere's Anchors gained the ability to follow her into the Infinite.
One Jenny made one version of Michael Wherever an Anchor. (COMIC: The Jenny Everywhere Chronicles) Possibly as an unintended side-effect of this process, he gained teleportation powers of his own. (COMIC: Untitled) This Jenny was criticised by some of her friends for having a tendency to get too attached to her Anchors, whom she tended to take on as companions; Raleigh believed that this had ultimately led her astray with Michael.
It was again demonstrated when, after falling into one universe while fighting Nyx, she turned the pacifist monk Julian into an Anchor. After Nyx set in motion an explosion that would destroy the planet, Jenny saved Julian by bringing him to the Infinite, with him thus becomign the only survivor of his homeworld.
