Behind the scenes
Return of the Jedi was the third theatrical Star Wars film in release order (and is named as Episode VI in the official narrative order). Its plot involved the villainous Galactic Empire attempting to build an outwardly identical replacement for the iconic Death Star, a superweapon memorably destroyed at the end of the original Star Wars film.
