In one universe, a mysterious old man and vigilante made it his life's mission to maintain the precarious peace that existed between the Kievs and the Eagles on one human colony planet.
Jenny Everywhere met the old man some time after her arrival in this universe, and he told her the history of the planet. Later, the old man caught up with Billy, a man who'd threatened the peace for personal gain (tricking the Kievs into attacking a neutral bunker), and hanged him, despite Jenny having tried to warn him and get him to stop while there was still time.
