In Reality B-89 54-Z, the Marsh Mallow was a marsh in Sucria and the place where, centuries prior to the birth of this world's version of Jenny Everywhere, a powerful but arrogant male witch was killed in his prime, having been turned mortal by a curse. He endured as a ghost, manifesting from the Marsh, thus becoming known as the Old Man of the Marshmallow. After he spent centuries plaguing the living witches of Sucria, they banded against him and ended up magically trapping his soul inside a literal marshmallow which they buried under the Marsh. He escaped twenty years later and resumed opposing Grandmother Ginger and Old Mother Westwind, two of the witches who had participated in the Great Marsh Mallow War.
