A Night to Remember was the a comic created by Paul Hoppe. It was an interlude in his webcomic The Cosmic Beholder, which prominently featured “Jenny Everywhere” (really Jenny Nowhere posing as her). This two-page story featured no established characters, but presented the origin story of Centennia, who would soon be introduced in the present day of the comics.

Plot
A woman relates how, at a ball in the Autumn of 1899, she was seduced by a peculiar but charming gentleman who soon revealed to her that he was an extraterrestrial envoy who had come to Earth incognito to study human civilisation. The gentleman further explained that he must soon returned to his homeworld, but wishes he could experience human love (emotional and carnal) before he goes. The woman accepts; after an unforgettable night, the gentleman leaves. To her amused bemusenent, he left her all the money he had been carrying in his human disguise and would no longer need on his planet — seemingly unaware of the impoliteness of the gesture. But that is not all he has left her — for she is pregnant…

Continuity
- Centennia, the immortal offspring of the woman and her alien lover, was introduced in the following The Cosmic Beholder story, COMIC: Sausage-Fest!.
- COMIC: Child of the Stars later acted as a more direct follow-up to A Night to Remember — being a second short two-page story about Centennia's backstory.
