Centennia's father was a humanoid extraterrestrial who came to Reality Z-25 31-H's Earth in 1899 to try to learn about human life. He adopted a human identity as a mysterious but elegant gentleman, somehow acquiring large amounts of money to prop up the charade.

Shortly before he was slated to return home, he met a single American woman at a ball in the Autumn. Wanting to experience it before he departed, he asked her to show him human love (both romantic and carnal), and after dancing all night, they made love in her home. He left in the morning, returning to his planet, leaving her all his human possessions — including a fortune in cash. To the woman's surprise, but not displeasure, she became pregnant following the encounter and gave birth to a child (COMIC: A Night to Remember) who became the immortal superheroine, Centennia. Centennia's mother told the girl about her alien parentage when her powers started to manifest, though she took some time to believe it. (COMIC: Child of the Stars)
