A version of Charon was native to the Underworld of the 925th Universe, as recounted in Greek mythology. One had to give a special coin to him for safe passage in and out of the Underworld. He was widely believed to be a myth, but in her occult studies, Marietta Over-There discovered that Greek mythology was mostly accurate as concerned the afterlife of their universe, and acquired one of the magic coins, which she gifted to her cousin Jenny Over-There on Christmas 2022 so that they could rescue Jenny's cat Grober from the Underworld, thereby repairing Marietta's childhood misdeed of killing Jenny's cat in a misguided attempt to please Nyarlathotep.
