In some universes, the John F. Kennedy administration was nicknamed “Camelot”. This symbolically made Kennedy's killer, a retired U.S. Marine, “Mordred”; in one universe, “Guinevere” stepped in to stop the assassination, adding a further layer to the metaphor. (PROSE: Fragment: Guinevere and Mordred)

Behind the scenes

In most popular versions of Arthurian legend, Mordred is the killer of King Arthur.
